I am hoping to finish the lessons by Thursday, and have the test this Friday. The students know how hectic it gets during Catholic Schools Week, so they will have the test written in their assignment notebooks if we can get to it.

The students did a wonderful job on their Business Project. The commercials turned out great. I am sorry that I was unable to have them playing for you on Sunday. Thanks again for your help! Technology can be very stubborn! Thank you to all that came.

This week we Finish Unit 2 Lesson 4 about "Running A Business":
•	Making and Selling

The Lesson 4 TEST is Wednesday, January 25th!

This week the students will be working in groups on a project in school on "Running a Business." The students were to think of one product that they could make to try and sell to their fellow classmates. This should not be an expensive project/product. We will be collecting prices of supplies, pricing their products, etc. They are required to make one sample of their product to present to their class along with their advertisement poster on Friday. The posters will be completed in class. The product may have to be completed at home.  
The students are very excited about this project, so I thank you in advance for all your help!


The students have been working hard to get ready for Catholic Schools Week. Please remember that we begin the week with mass on Sunday at 10:00 with an Open House to follow.  I hope to see you all there!

         <title>NEWS...</title>
         <description>We will be doing a project in 4th grade next week. Each student needs to bring in an empty SOAP BOX! The students were shown what the box should look like and told it does not matter what brand of soap it is! (LOL) The soap boxes are due on Monday, December 12th. 

We will be taking a field trip to the Field Museum on Tuesday, December 20th to see the Christmas Trees Around the World and You, the Experience. Field Trip forms are due Tuesday, Dec. 13th. The students are very excited to be going on their first 4th grade field trip, as well as seeing the trees they have been studying!

This week we will finish writing a Narrative Story in class.

There will also be a Unit 2 Test on Friday. There is no real way of studying for t he test. The material covered in the test is about writing a personal narrative, what sentences give more detail about the topic, order of events, order of words in a dictionary, etc.  We will review in class but there is no need to study for the test.

Please remember that there will be a weekly DOL quiz every Friday! Start studying on Monday.  This week's sentences are:

This week we will begin learning about "WARS AND CHANGES":

•	Strengths and Weaknesses
•	Rebuilding the Nation
•	New Settlers, New Technology
There will be a test on Lesson 5 Friday, October 28th.

Next Monday we will be celebrating Halloween in our homerooms. The students can wear a costume to school that is appropriate. No short skirts, sleeveless tops, masks, weapons, fake blood, etc will be tolerated. If the teachers and I feel that the costume is inappropriate, that child will be sent home. If you are unsure about your costume please feel free to wear orange and black that day.  A list will be going home with what your child can bring to school that day to help us celebrate.  Thank you for all your help!
