This will be a busy week for all of our fifth graders. Our activities include making thank-you cards for Mrs. McKenzie. Wednesday will be her last day with us, and we appreciate everything she has done for us. Over the past few months, she has taught the children life-long lessons on how to handle and/or avoid situations that may occur with issues of bullying. Posters saying, "No to Bullying" were created by our fifth and sixth graders and are displayed throughout the school. Please be sure to ask your children about this.
Later this week, we will be making cards for our second graders who will be celebrating their First Holy Communion this Saturday.
We continue to discuss leadership qualities and ways of serving God. The children will be introduced to several popes, and we will discuss how their qualities made them a good leader. The Chapter 17 test is scheduled for next Thursday, May 6th, and we will once again review the faith words and chapter review. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Have a Good Week!
