Report Cards

Dear Parent,
Since this is your child's first report card we would like to fill you in on a few things.
1. The report card is yours to keep! However, we do need you to sign and return the report card envelope TOMORROW.
2. The boys and girls have been working so hard in school and they ALL have received wonderful report cards! If your child has received a 1 in one or more areas PLEASE know that this is NOT a bad grade, but a grade that tells us that this is an area which will require extra work. We will discuss some ways in which we can improve in these areas at conferences.
3. In the Reading Readiness area the children have only been graded on the letters that have been covered so far, as will be the case for future marking periods.
Thanks for taking the time to look over your child's report cards and discussing it with them. They should be very proud of themselves - we certainly are!
Sincerely,
The Kindergarten Teachers
