Dear Parent,

The time is fast approaching for our 100th day of school!! Friday, February 5th will be our official 100th day of kindergarten! Wow! Time sure flies...

To celebrate with style and grace, we are asking the children to dress as if they are 100 years old. Please do not buy anything new! Any fun grandma and grandpa type clothing and props will be perfect! We will go on a funny parade!

At snack time we will be mixing up our 100th day "gorp stew"...a delightful mixture that will be shared by the class. Please send in 100 pieces of any of the ingredients listed at the bottom of this page for our stew. *since this stew is to be eaten, please have an adult do this counting! We will LOOK at them, TALK about them, and finally, mix them together for our 100th day stew and EAT them for our snack!!

We are also asking that the children bring in 100 pennies in a ziploc baggie. This is the child's turn to count! We will count, stack, add, subtract and compare these coins. When we have finished our learning fun, we will donate our $67.00 to Misericordia. What a nice way to conclude a fun day!

Thank You! Thank You! A hundred thank yous!!!

POSSIBLE GORP STEW INGREDIENTS:

Please send in 100 pieces of any of the following ingredients or if you have another idea (Cheerios or whatever) that will be fine, too! Thank you!

____plain M&Ms ____ gum drops

____raisins ____ jelly beans

____fruit snack pieces ____ candy corn

____pretzel sticks ____ goldfish
