Poetry Project with Pizzazz!
Choose any grade equivalent novel that you would like to read. The book report for your book will be a Haiku Poem written about your book and creating a triorama for the book.
After you read the novel,
1. Write the title and each line of your haiku on separate pieces of white paper.
2. Draw scenery in the top larger panel of each triorama to act as a backdrop for each line of poetry.
3. When the scenery is in place, create 3 dimensional scenes on the bottom panel of each triorama to bring each line of your haiku to life.
4.Attach all panels along the back spines with glue.
5.Attach the title and each line of poetry to its corresponding triorama scene.
6.Punch a hole at the top of the triorama. String with yarn or string.
***Decorate all four triorams before you glue together.
We will create sample haiku poems in class. We will also make a triorama as an example.
