October Happenings!
Our Kindergarten and 1st graders are reading at home. Each time they fill out a tic tac toe author sheet they bring it back to the library for a prize and another sheet to begin again.
If you can't find your sheet send a note to the library and I will give you one.

Accelerated Reading News
Our 2nd graders are using the accelerated reading program now. Our computers are busy each morning and afternoon in the library. Make sure you bring your book with you when you take the quiz so you can get another book right away.

Our 3rd and 4th graders are also busy reading. They are collecting their points for the point club and working toward the pizza party.

The 5th and 6th graders are reading mysteries and scary stories.

Scare up a good book and read!

Partner Reading
On Thursday, November 15th our whole school will participate in partner reading.
The students in grades 4th - 8th will be partnered with preschool - 3rd grade.
The 4th -8th grade students will pick out books to read to the younger students.

Family Reading Night
Thursday, November 15th is also 'Family Reading Night.'
Why not turn off the television and the computer and read with or to you children.
Make a fun night of it. Pop some popcorn or another favorite treat and READ!

Another fun activity for this week would be to take a trip to the public library and select more books to read to your children. They never grow out of wanting to be read to.
