Welcome to the first day of school.This will great a great year for learning and praying.

Prayer for the first day of school:
Loving God, you created our children as a great gifts to our lives. Be with them this day in their excitement as they meet new friends and teachers. Help them to grow into their identity as members of this new class, alive to all the possibilities of learning this year. Inspire them to be people of service who will bring greater goodness to this world. May they be great friends, great sons and daughters and people of courageous spirit who dream to extend your love throughout the world in ways they are uniquely able to do so. May we as their parents and teachers marvel in the ways our children grow daily in wisdom, grace and insights. Fill their hearts with hope. Ease our cares with the confidence that we love and guide our children well. Help us to learn from one another this school year, and thank you for all the blessings of this summer.
